Bio:
The creator of Knew America Walter Dimmock was heavily influenced by the surf music scene and the English invasion of the sixties. His greatest influence was the only jazz rock group ever, the Cream with bassist Jack Bruce. The psychedelic bands of America and England were a strong reflection on young Walter as well. The original funk band dance beat is visible in his bass lines while playing in Sugar and Spice. When the punk era burst in LA, Walter was deep in the Hollywood scene from `77 to around `84. The Knew America project began during the outbreak of the LA gang epidemic, as gangster rap took hold, a long break in Walters music was taken. Now finding America in internal strife he decided to contribute to the pro American 1st and 2nd amendment movement. Today he does what he can to contribute to and protect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Knew America is socially and politically oriented, expressed through sincerity and a touch of humor, this project speaks out against a loss of values in our culture. |
